He finds himself on a deserted beach. It is a strange, alien place in which there is no colour, no sense of change, time or distance and no memory of a life before. The only thing that differentiates day from night is the intensity of light. How has he gotten to this place and will he ever escape it? He thinks about what exactly it means to be alive as he has no heartbeat, breath or emotions here. He meets a stranger who he knows, on an instinctual level, he cannot look at. Although he asks several questions, there are no definitive answers as the stranger allows him to figure things out for himself. He suddenly realises that to live, one has to leave a legacy behind; one that has meaning and can be quantified. As his memories slowly resurface he knows that what he has left behind is valueless and unnoteworthy. He faces the stranger and is shocked by what he sees. It is at this precise moment that the alien world which surrounds him starts to crumble and he is painfully pulled back to reality.
