Hell is the first of three parts of the Divine Comedy of Dante Alighieri, corresponding to the first of the Three Kingdoms of the Underworld and the first visited by Dante in his otherworldly pilgrimage trip intended to bring it to the Salvation Army. The world of the damned, divided according to a precise moral logic derived by Ethics Nicomachean Ethics of Aristotle, is the place of moral misery prevailing in fallen humanity, private now of divine grace that can light the actions of men. The later poems are Purgatory and Paradise.
