The 25th Anniversary Special Edition of The Ills of Saardu is an unaltered copy of the first draft of the Saardu story. The author decided to release this version for die-hard Saardu fans and as proof that she did in fact invent this world in 1984, the year following the loss of her brother.

This story has an abundance of imagination, as always with this writer, and touches upon many aspects of life. It is a love story between the first genius and a royal maiden in an exotic ecosystem. It is a fear story about losing one's mind, as people struggle with understanding insanity. It is a nature lover's fantasy of living in a luscious, pristine world.

Special thanks to Ludovic Leleu, an artist living in France (@ludopencil), for cover artwork, a beautiful rendition of the Saar's minaret, waterfall, and three moons.

In early 2010 James Cameron introduced a world with some similarities that caused Saardu fans to ask if this writer had somehow copied elements of the "Avatar" movie. In answer to that question, Carma published this original draft which anyone can research and see was registered by her in 1985, an exact copy of which is archived in the United States Library of Congress. Contact the Copyright Office for information on how to obtain a copy of the archive. It matches this version. The original manuscript registration number is TXu000197171.
