The House of Wine and Roses

In a country fast falling into civil war, Ibn Roza tries to maintain a small island of peace and poetry. He balances factions to make civilisation possible. But has he made a precious paradise, or an irrelevant backwater? and more importantly, can he survive?

In this short story there are roses and there's blood; there's poetry and there's violence. There may be a few surprises, too.
