Chocoholics beware! Stevo and Mack were never much interested in school, but not for the usual reasons. All they ever wanted to do was build machines. Time spent in the classroom just got in the way. Both geniuses—Stevo the inventor, Mack the engineer—their careers are cut short by an incident involving a replica World War One tank, the parking bays at the Chamber of Commerce, and the police. Now reduced to menial labour at the local biscuit works, the thrill of invention is lost until the day they have a chance conversation with a driver delivering a tanker-load of Swiss chocolate. A chain of events then unravels: Mack and Stevo's leadership of Yorkshire’s haphazard attempt to join the Space Race, the accidental destruction of both a rocky islet in the North Pacific and the Lancastrian town of Burnley, an encounter with the Man in Black, and the discovery of the awful truth about why we are addicted to chocolate. Read on, if you dare, you might never eat another chocolate bar in your life.
