The Group
When a group of students in Dundee falls on hard times, they have to decide whether or not it’s time to enter into the world of everyday drudgery, by getting a job, or by trying something different. Something a little bit more risky. One of the members of the group devises a plan, to make some “easy money”, but as we all know, there is no such thing as “easy money”.
It was all so simple, kidnap a couple of people, then, wait for their loved ones to pay whatever is asked to get them back. But as in all plans there is a catch.
The plan involves the kidnapping of two of Glasgow’s most infamous villains and then to use them as fall guys, for the kidnap of their second victim. When that other victim happens to be the daughter of an Edinburgh crime boss, you have a recipe for disaster.
Now add, a bitter, angry man, into the mix. A twisted, single minded policeman, in pursuit of a long held personal agenda, the downfall and death of the leader of the Glasgow gang.
Bit by bit, other unexpected, external, events, to come into play and create havoc with the group’s plan.
As the story moves between Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee, the body count begins to increase.
The group, now find themselves caught up in a world of deceit and treachery and as other criminal elements, become involved, the story rushes relentlessly towards a violent climax.
