Emma & The Restoration Of A Soldier - A woman with one hand goes west to a mail ordered husband that her father has arranged for her before he died. On the train she meets up with a group of Civil War injured soldiers and one special young man who becomes a friend. However, when she meets her husband for the first time he runs out as he looks at her beautifully carved hand replacement, and she believes that she may never see him again. She starts a workshop where she and a craftsman build hands and legs for people in town who have lost limbs from the war or accidents. Her reputation spreads until one day, her husband shows up unexpectedly at her workshop while she is fitting a limb for her soldier friend.

Banking On Love - An overweight woman, tired of her life and job at a bank in New York, spends weeks trying to find a mail order husband through a marriage broker and when she does, all of her fears about there being no love and a lot of work, surface. Her fiancé does nothing to dispel the fears when he meets and greets her at the railway station. After a few weeks she starts to think about returning to her home back east, when something happens that ends up as a blessing in disguise.

Margaret's Jewish Cowboy is a story about two damaged people finding love, thanks to the assistance of one small town religious leader. The latter encourages crotchety Jed to advertise for a mail order bride and without warning, because of a mistake, one shows up on his doorstep. The trouble is -- she has had a checkered past just like he has.

Knowing Nothing But How To Love - An overweight and privileged woman travels from the east coast to become the wife of a California rancher, realizing that he has children but inexperienced at both the care of them, the farm chores, and just how to break through the emotional void which surrounds the widower who is still grieving.
