“The Gold-bearded Man” is the Hungarian fairy tale collected by Andrew Lang which was included in “The Crimson Fairy Book”. The main figure of the story is the prince who lost his father and nearly his own mother due to her remarriage after king's death. The new stepfather was a wicked man and treated his stepson very cruelly. The young prince had nothing to do but flee away, but in spite of difficulties he could find the way out and become the husband of a young king's daughter.
