Once Swithin Hook and his father Patrick take in Mandy from the clutches of an evil agency, their lives are forever changed. And as the Agency pursues Mandy, Mandy must find the will to keep them from her mind and the power it contains without killing herself in the process, because she is convinced her death would make things so much worse.
A definition of calm, Swithin Hook gives his all to Mandy, even as she pushes him away. The supernatural hunting community assumes he will be a legend and his modest nature cannot quite grasp that fact, even after he has proven it true. He must fight his own inner demons which pull him from his strong faith.
There are those in the hunting community against them, including Swithin’s father, who is the unofficial leader of the hunting community. Luckily, Mandy’s respected, yet cad, partner, Thomas Regal is on their side, while she and Swithin contend with ancient witches, a host of monsters, secrets to the universes and the strength of love.
