George Gordon wakes up outside in a cold, wet, misty place he doesn't recognise with no clue as to how he got there and little memory of who he actually is. Very quickly George discovers he is not alone and a monstrous assailant is accusing him of mass murder. Before he has time to rationalise his circumstances and gather his senses he is forcibly thrust through a portal into another world. Now on a strange planet and with no immediate memories, he meets a band of dangerous warriors who drug, kidnap and then torture him. Eventually he regains his memory and despite initially appearing to be the victim, the truth is far worse than his any of his dreadful experiences could have prepared him for.
George was the chief scientist from in a bleak and futuristic environment where the science of genetic cloning and biomechanical mutation are at the core of his tasks. His job was to prevent the knowledge of humanity being lost before the human race becomes extinct following an irreversible genetic mutation that has gradually neutered the population of Earth. Unfortunately for him the safety of his lifetime in the laboratory is abruptly shattered when he is betrayed by his employers The Council – the architects of the Globus Project, an entirely cloned planet full of genetically superior biomechanical humanoids designed to carry and safeguard the valuable accumulated knowledge of the fading human race. In his efforts to escape The Council he becomes stranded on the turbulent planet Globus right in middle of a volatile pitch battle between warring factions of the population. With the project failing and The Council determined to neutralise it, the fate of Globus and all of humanity back on Earth will depend on his actions.
