The Far Pole is the fifth title in the Chinavare’s Find series. Random Arthur Hause, a former History teacher, discovers that fighting and winning a war, and then establishing his Off-world community’s independence and new government still does not resolve the issues that brought about the war in the first place. Random leads the Commonwealth of Savannah’s forces and his growing list of companions to Ulrich, to reinvigorate a ruined University and use it to create a site where members of the new alliance can live together and learn about one another. On Ulrich, he learns that the military portion of the conflict is less important than the internal war going on for his self control.
