Linda Lovelace starred in the most lucrative adult film of all time, Deep Throat (1972). I have traced her maternal and paternal ancestors who came to the United States from Italy, Ireland and England. Linda died in 2002 in Colorado. Her family spread out from several locations in Maine, Massachusetts and Westchester County, New York. I have utilized census records, city directories and obituaries that I have found in newspapers, beginning in the early 19th century. Lovelace, born Linda Susan Boreman in 1949, turned against the porn industry after she split from her husband/manager Charles Everett "Chuck" Traynor in 1974. Although they first became acquainted in Florida, the families of Lovelace and Traynor had Italian origins, and settled in Westchester County, NY, early in the 20th Century. Linda Boreman's paternal ancestors were Irish and English. There is also much about the life of Linda Lovelace, beginning with her birth in Glen Cove, NY, in the text of my book.
