Well, this “UreadUlead” selection introduces a young man who is born into slavery, somewhere in the late 1800’s, location unknown. While growing up under the conditions of slavery he watches the chores his mother performs each day. He refuses to allow slavery to stifle his spirit and his dreams of freedom and financial prosperity.
