"I was taught that everything is attainable, if you're prepared to give up, to sacrifice to get it. Whatever you want to do, you can do it, if you want to do it badly enough. However, most humans quit too soon in life."
- a famous quote by Stirling Moss* in 'All but My Life’
* (the writer's boy hood hero)
"Truth and love must always prevail over lies and hate."
- Vaclev Havel (former President of Czechoslovakia, poet and play-right)
“I don’t believe in setting goals...but rather in going for your wildest dreams.”
“Life is about finding, then following the dream...
and one's dream/vision comes to reality through believing in
yourself, making the commitment and then creating it."

Now let's write the story...
Ten Commandments. Play according to them. Try to help your teammates do the same.
Fair Play
So: here is the ball. It is called your soul. Pick it up and run with it, and let's see what you can do. Remember, don't go offside, and don't kick away possession. Also remember that life is a game to be played for enjoyment. Nobody expects anything more than your personal best, have fun.
Finally, whether you win, lose or draw, you will always be my man, and I will always be your fan. Go for it!"

“When love endures, hope inevitably follows.
"When hope endures, dreams live on”

“I want to write the way Gilles Villeneuve drove and slid his blood -red Formula One Ferrari… with wild enthusiasm, a sense of abandonment and youthful exuberance, yet also with the artists craft of a Stirling Moss, a Jim Clark, and especially an Ayrton Senna, living on the razor-blade edge of life.”
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."
(Proverbs 3:5-6 written by King Soloman about 1000 BC!)

Not knowing what lay in store for him and "battered and bruised by the storms of life", on the long flight across the Indian ocean, the man pondered his future and what choices lay ahead. A new lifestyle...a new life in a new country!!
But the crucial question , which filled his being...his consciousness remained unresolved: HOW was he to provide for "the nurse" and his beloved family in the future??
*
And what type of job should he try to get, what industry? And what was even available "out of the rat race" in sleepy provincial New Zealand?
He thought perhaps he could write an account of his rather turbulent and tempestuous life
And that's just what the writer did!
"It's always darkest before the dawn"
"In the midst of darkness, light exists."
“One cannot always tell what it is that keeps us shut in, confines us, seems to bury us, but still one feels certain barriers, certain gates, certain walls. is all this imagination, fantasy? I do not think so. And then one asks: My God! Is it for long, is it for ever, is it for eternity? Do you know what frees one from this captivity? It is very deep serious affection. Being friends, being brothers, love, that is what opens the prison by supreme power, by some magic force.”
- Vincent Van Goch, letter to his brother, July 1880 (from Open: An autobiography by Andre Agassi)
The never-ending question(s) of the ages… to which many of us seek an answer: Exploring the extent to which we are in control of our own lives …as well as the degree to which we are capable of exercising free will??? Fate/destiny…or/and the power of individual choice???
"Decisions are made in the mind... however choices are made in the heart."
A story of reconciliation and the varied forms of love.
"Just as history is sometimes known as ‘His story’ , life itself is God’s novel; so let God, the Ultimate Source, the Ground of All Being write the very best, never-ending story of possibility, that is your unique journey down the river of life.”

"Here was a light behind the despair, beyond the darkness. At first a flicker of an ember, just a tiny pin-prick of dawning possibilities. Then burning slowly, brightly and bigger, a glimmer, a candle in the blackness of despair, which gave off just enough of a glow (luminescence?) to light a path ahead…”
from my book It's Always Darkest Before the Dawn
"Life is God's novel; so let Ultimate Source write it, as it unfolds."
- the writer (as inspired by/from Isaac Bashevis Singer)
