The Day Harlan County Rumbled starts out in southeast Kentucky in Harlan county, in a small coal camp of Kenvir. The camp is called Kenvir, because it sets on the Kentucky and Virginia line, so they split the name up and called it Kenvir. I have lived in these mountains my whole life, I've seen them come in here and log the trees, mine the coal, they have got coal out of these mountain by under grounding it, drilling holes in the side of the mountain. Now they are striping the tops off the mountains, when they were under grounding the coal that didn't hurt the looks of the mountains, but when they started logging and stripping the mountains they are destroying the looks of our mountains. What they didn't know with all the blasting and cutting the trees down, they woke up one of the biggest Volcanoes in the world. They have changed these peoples live forever. Not only did they just change there lives but it changed the whole countries lives because the volcano and the earth quake that come along with the volcano split the country in half like it did over a million years ago, now it's time to start over and hope we do it right this time.
