In the year 2617, the human race had finally succeeded in making our world uninhabitable. The last remaining city, Omaha, Nebraska, survived under a protective dome. Inside that dome, the people built a generation ship, an ark to carry the last of the human race to another Earth-like world one hundred light years away. A journey that would take four hundred and twenty-three years and several generations; the new world was to be called Earth Two.

Our story begins 3,063 years after leaving Earth. Over the centuries the name Earth Two has been shortened to Earto, and the people have no memory of the world of their origin. Collin is a young prince and is second in line for the position of Over (emperor of the world), a position he does not want. He is grateful that his older brother, Jason, is being groomed for the position, but the Gods have other plans, and at fifteen years of age, the position of Over is thrust upon him when his father and brother are killed in a failed attempt to overthrow the royal family.

Our story follows Collin as he is forced to make life-and-death decisions, as he avoids numerous assassination attempts, through battles to hold the kingdom together, and challenges brought on by natural disasters. Through loss of loved ones and love restored, in the end, Collin is hailed as the greatest Over Earto has ever known.
