Hello,

I'm Eloy. I've been a New Yorker since age seven, when my family relocated to the Bronx from Ecuador. Currently I maintain a studio in the Hunts Point part of the Bronx. I graduated from Parsons University with a degree in Fine Arts and also one in Education. I also work as a teacher in order to support my artistic endeavors.

The book I've created is inspired by the paintings I've made over the years and my concern for the ecological challenges and environmental issues facing our world.

The Broken Skyline is a simple straight-to-the-point story. Inanimate objects move, the buildings move, parking meters talk, etc. Envision all the structures moving or even morphing; the Manhattan Bridge becomes a Spider, the Chrysler Cat prowls through city, The Empire Snake Building slithers, etc.

A Garbage Bag lives by the Hudson River and falls in love with the Flatiron bldg. from its view of the skyline. It is friends with Chrysler building the bridges and the highways. It was born on a popular corner. It experiences things only an inanimate object can experience and is like snippets into the everyday things that occur and happen to it and lets the reader see. The story unfolds as Garbage bags’ love for the Flatiron building blooms.
