The Brilliant Church

"Church" is a religious word. It is inherently religious in meaning. We speak of going to church, of building a church, of going into the church, of running the church, of starting a church, of the authority of the church, of the organization of the church, and the list could go on. The point is that we really use the word as it is defined in our Western dictionary but not in context with God's ideal of Church. The Church... It stretches far beyond what you see. It accomplishes more than we dreamed was possible.

The Church is life and death. The Church is God's strategy for reaching our world. What we do inside the Church matters.God cares about the way we love each other and the way we pursue His mission. The Church is a group of redeemed people that live and serve together in such a way that their lives and communities are transformed.
