Dr. Don Harris grew up in the swamps of South Louisiana, surrounded by wildlife. As a child, his typical pets included snakes, squirrels, raccoons, rats, bats, birds, alligators and armadillos. Its not surprising that, as an adult, he became a veterinarian whose entire career has been dedicated to the care of exotic animals. The Bluebird Story evolved from Dr. Harris telling his toddler son, Adam, stories about the animals of his childhood. While the story captures a bit of the animals seasonal activities, what it really reveals is the truth behind the principle that giving, and acts of kindness toward our fellow creatures, brings about infinite blessings that could never be obtained otherwise.
