Citing the ongoing criminal investigation of the incident, the unidentified Law Enforcement spokesperson for the La Plat County Sheriff's department again demanded anonymity, but reiterated these things need to be more closely investigated before any speculations of this accidental death can be determined if it were indeed accidental or if further investigations would need to be conducted. Upon reviewing the police log, public records acquired proved that the Fire chief had reported to the police of having received several threatening phone calls over the past six months. This reporter while attempting to clarify specific information on the subject of this investigation was told by the unidentified Law Enforcement spokesperson they had no further comments.  Persistent about their anonymity, the Law Enforcement spokesperson for the La Plat County Sheriff's department added their own opinion, "You'll see when you look at things a bit closer. There are things that are not always, as they seem. You'll need to look beyond the yellow line."
