The mission to retrieve the ancient alien vessel was a triumphant success; with both the humans and Horaxians rejoicing at the prospect of striking back at the heart of the Polymorph infestation. But the excitement soon vanished; things had not turned out as they would have hoped. Each day that passes mankind and their allies get dangerously closer to extinction as the Polymorph onslaught continues. Adcox and his team have been forced to endure skirmish after skirmish with no end in sight, with his desperation fixed on rescuing those taken by the Polymorph before it is too late. Each attempt to hold the enemy back takes him further away from ever finding her again - the one he longs for. Meanwhile, saboteurs deepen the distrust and divide between both races as Adcox tries to unravel the suspicious plans of the High Apex Commander Cagn before it is too late.
