The Angel Who Fell to Earth

The angel, Saraquel, wishes to understand the emotions of humans and undertakes a journey as a fully formed human female. Beautiful, intelligent and only speaking ancient Aramaic she is brought to a retired rabbi's home. The rabbi is a student of ancient semitic languages and can understand her. The rabbi collects ancient manuscripts and has one that is coveted by a Jewish historian. Saraquel recognizes that this man is actually a dark angel who has been trapped on earth for many thousands of years. He covets one of the ancient books and will do anything to own it, including murder. The confrontation between the dark angel and Saraquel is a thrilling conclusion to this metaphysical story. A little twist at the end brings up the question. Do angels really walk among us?
