"The winged variant of the bydus volkus family is called: tessila. Though less than two inches long in the body, tessili are known to be territorial, volatile, and possessive of their human partners. A human who bonds a tessila will gain the ability to wield both active and passive magics."

There are many things Jey doesn't know. Her real name, for instance. Or why she lives on a quiet campus surrounded by a massive wall that's reinforced with spellwork. She doesn't know why she's a hostage, or that the world outside the wall would try to exterminate both her and her tessila if it knew the school existed.

She does know a few things though. She knows she's being manipulated. She knows she's being used. She knows her tessila is angry and full of hatred for her handler.

And in any case, the outside world might be her only chance. Because Jey's 18th birthday is coming up and the seniors at Tessili Academy never survive the graduation ceremony.

---

"Excellent fantasy, thoughtful, well executed."

"This is a great story. It has lively characters and is fast-paced, making it an exciting read that is almost impossible to put down before the end."

Tessili Academy is an epic fantasy novella set in the magical world of Bydaira. Though it's a complete story and can stand alone, the series continues with Tessili Rogue, Tessili Revenge, Brinlin Isle, Brinlin Forest, and Brinlin Cove.
