Temptation is the means by which the enemy tries to penetrate and weaken our faith in God. Satan tries to weaken our determination to be Christlike. In Temptation Is Great: Volume 1, we explored various ways temptation expresses itself. Surely we did not exhaust the ways and the schemes of the devil. We defined temptation and showed its causes and effects. In this current volume, Temptation Is Great: Volume 2, we will focus on how we can masterfully, through Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit, live with temptation in our lives. We cannot stop it in this life; but we certainly can become masters of life circumstances so that temptation will have no real hold on us. It will not break us.
In “Volume 2,” we shall attempt to show that not only is temptation itself not a sin, but more importantly, we who have the Christ Spirit in us, have the power to overcome temptation. Jesus challenges us saying that if we become an overcomer as he has, he will reserve a seat beside himself on his throne as the Father did for him as he overcame the world (Revelation 3:21). Let us be determined to sit next to our Savior.
