Francis Taylor has lived a meek and normal life up until his junior year in college. He is an undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley with a fiery drive to become an accomplished geology graduate student. The competition to get into the geology department has increased in the previous years and new requirements have cropped up. He has to prove his leadership ability by teaching a class, something that proves more difficult when Francis discovers a girl he teaches has a crush on him.
