Stallone had a hard childhood years. Both he and more youthful brother Frank were adversely influenced by their moms and dads' hostile relationship, which later ended in divorce. Sylvester spent some time in foster care. He ultimately ended up in Philadelphia, living with his mom and her second spouse. There Stallone struggled psychologically and academically. After his expulsion from many schools, he went to an unique high school for troubled youth.
After college graduation, Stallone eventually went on to college. First, he attended the American College in Switzerland where he studied drama. Stallone then went to the University of Miami, again choosing to focus on the dramatic arts. He left school before finishing his degree to go to New York City to pursue an acting career.
Sylvester Stallone has set up around the world acknowledgment as an actor, writer and director given that he played the title role in his own screenplay of "Rocky," which won the Academy Award in 1976 for Best Image. Stallone's new project is "The Contender," an effective and action-packed actuality series for NBC.
Born in New York City, Stallone went to school in suburban Philadelphia where he initially started acting and also became a star soccer user. He then spent 2 years instructing at the American College of Switzerland in Geneva.
Returning to the United States, Stallone registered as a drama major at the University of Miami and also began to create. He left college to pursue an acting career in New York City, but the jobs did not come effortlessly. By 1973, Stallone had auditioned for almost every casting agent in New York and had gone on thousands of acting telephone calls, with little success.
