Introduction

Sweden is a Scandinavian country having thousands of inland lakes, coastal islands, high mountains, and vast forests. Sweden is considered a tourists’ paradise; with rocky shores and ice floes, northern lights and quiet forests. Sweden is undoubtedly a beautiful country and no wonder it attracts close to 5 million visitors every year.

Its main cities include the southwestern Gothenburg, Stockholm, the capital, is in the east, and Malmö is situated along the sea. The home to the royal palaces is Stockholm, museums like the open-air Skansen and parkland. Gamla Stan, the 13th –century town is set on the islands that are joined by ferries and bridges. Sweden has a combination of serene coastal towns, chic cities, sparse arctic landscapes, and vast tracts of green wilderness. Sweden puts on both its ancient and modern faces stylishly.

In general, Sweden has got a temperate climate due to the Gulf Stream even though it can become extremely cold above the Arctic Circle during the winter. The northern position of Sweden has got definite advantages of summer due to the fact that temperatures are not that extreme and the level of humidity is not that high. The average temperature is above zero degrees Celsius, though it can greatly vary across the country. This place is very rainy in March, April, October, and November. The busiest months for tourists are July and August, there are fewer crowds outside of these times.

Being the 5th largest nation in Europe, Sweden has got dense forests, and it is bordered by Norway, the Baltic Sea, and Finland. It homes pristine rivers, thick woodland areas, windswept islands, and pure lakes. Its environment is incredibly rich in natural beauty. Most of the population is in the South, with towns and cities concentrated away from the cold temperatures, the unforgiving Arctic north terrain and snow. The suburbs and urban centers of Sweden are mainly built with dedicated waterways and green spaces that are common features of most towns and large cities.
