Is it possible to fall in love by simply looking at a photograph of someone that you have never met? It doesn’t make sense, you say. Exceptionally beautiful law students, in their prime, just didn’t do that sort of thing. Ashley had never dated a black man before, but there was something different about Patrick. He was simply gorgeous, and he looked as though he reeked with virility. She had a decision to make. She was going to intern with one of five law firms during the summer break. She had been sent photographs, by her grandfather, the presiding judge, of the principals of each firm. Once she saw his photograph, she couldn’t get her mind off him. It was crazy and irrational, but she had been studying him from afar for several months now, and she was determined to meet him. She was going to intern with him, and she was going to seduce him. She needed the answer to one simple question. Why was she so compelled to have him? Was it the way his expressive, dark-brown eyes appeared to penetrate her very core and make her shiver with desire, or was it the unexplained five stars inscribed on the back of his photograph when the others had none.

Excerpt: I need to get the hell out of here before I go completely insane, he thought. He was angry at her behavior because she was showing total disrespect for him and his position. “We need to get going, but before we do, I need to ask you a question.”
She looked at him with the sweetest of smiles. “Ask me anything you want, Patrick.”
He cleared his throat. “You’ve taken business ethics classes haven’t you?”
“Yes, of course.”
He shook his head. “Ashley, don’t you think that your behavior has been a little outrageous?”
She smiled and shook her head. “No,” she answered sweetly.
He stood up, knowing that this was rapidly getting out of hand, and it was the judge’s granddaughter that was the problem. But hell, a man has got to be a man and maintain his dignity. He was perfectly capable of letting the right woman walk all over him and love every minute of it, but this was not the right woman.
“What do you mean, no? How can you possibly justify your behavior in here just now? My God, girl, you are the judge’s granddaughter, and I’m supposed to take care of you for three months. You’re too intelligent to think that this is normal behavior. Why are you acting like this?” he pleaded.
She got down from his desk and calmly walked to the opposite side of his desk and sat in one of the padded chairs.
I’m screwed, he thought.
“A serious question deserves a serious and honest answer,” she said, as she hesitated for another moment. “I want you,” she said matter-of-factly.
His eyes widened as he sat back down. He was no longer angry or indignant. Within the span of less than two minutes, his emotions had gone from arousal to anger and now to fear. He was in shock. “You want me what?” he asked.
She smiled again. “I want you.”
He shook his head as if to get the cobwebs out. “You want me for what?” he asked, not being able to process what this cute little girl had just told him.
She giggled. “For someone who graduated first in his class from Stanford, I would have expected you to catch on quicker than this. Look closely at my lips, Patrick,” she said, as she walked back to his side of the desk. “I want to have sex with you. There, is that clear enough for you?” she asked.
“This can’t be happening to me.”
“You make having sex with me sound like a death sentence,” she stated. “Patrick, my shaved, pink little girl down there isn’t all that bad. I’ve been told that it was actually fairly good. Well, perhaps it’s a little better than fairly good,” she teased.
“You are outrageous. Do you know what your grandfather would do to me if he found out that we were even talking about this right now? I’ll tell you what he would do; he would try to have me disbarred.”
“Well, that’s where I come in, Patrick. My granddaddy will never find out, and what he doesn’t know can’t hurt you,” she said, in a sexy, sultry voice.
