In the later years of a 19th century slightly different to the one you may know about, Atticus Drake – a detective, adventurer and hunter – finds himself in the isolated, seemingly idyllic town of Newhaven, with no idea of how he got there or even the memory of why he was in the area.
While he regains his memory, Atticus uses his skills as a hunter and detective, as well as help from his new friends, to discover exactly why everyone is afraid of the dark and to rid the town of the cause of the evil inflicted upon it.
