Stonehenge Living is a novel featuring archaeologist Rees Meredith. Leaving University and the comforts of London life, he visits Silbury Hill in Wiltshire. Rees is mysteriously transmogrified at the instant of sunrise on midsummers day 2025 to exactly the same place in prehistory about 2325 BC. After a hesitant beginning, his life prospers and he directs the building of Avebury, the largest ancient monument in the country that encapsulates the communitys wishes for a prosperous life where justice rules and good health is granted. He designs and creates a Stonehenge, a Temple that includes Sun and Moon calendars and forecasts Moon eclipses every 18.03 years. At the magnificent opening ceremony on midsummers day 2282 BC, Rees is dazzled by the Suns rays at dawn that morning. He is magically transported instantaneously from ancient Stonehenge to modern times. Aged 58, he is compelled to live his new city life without his beautiful wife handsome son and gracious daughter who remained in ancient Brython. Rees becomes embroiled in project Mauve. Media from three continents gather to make a re-creation movie, audio and video episodes of his life and times in the prehistoric past, feature episodes interspersed with the sophisticated London life today. About the Author: Dr Neil L Thomas, a chartered engineer in the Australian oil and gas industry, made field trips to Ireland, Wales, England, Scotland, the Netherlands, Denmark, France, the Middle East, Egypt, India, China, Canada and the USA. Years of research led to an understanding how the myths and folklore of north-west European peoples complement prehistoric monuments, the evidence fits together like a jigsaw.
