In Book 1: Stargods, Vampires, and Dragon-wolves, the Dark Age of Enlightened Vampires has arrived. Fr. Andrew Mark Phillips, converted in the early 1800s by the mystical Padre Chacon Levardee of San Juan Capistrano, was a missionary evangelist, who trekked to a remote mountain village in the Cordillera Mountains of Northern Luzon, Philippines on Bishop Donald Kadiz’s dire request. Accompanied by two young, attractive, and idealistic ex-Peace Corps volunteers, Jude Marlowe and Margaret Benford, Fr. Andrew encountered the Daralinga tribe, which unfortunately meant “Blood Hunters.” As descendants of the Stargods, this tribe had the power to shape-shift into “Dragon-wolves” with the penchant for human blood, and they possessed mysterious and powerful relics: a katana (Japanese sword) and a crystal skull originally molded by the Stargod, Tatsulong. Jude Marlowe was caught up in a love triangle that resulted in his death; Margaret Benford was impregnated by a Daralinga warrior named Gerardo, and Fr. Andrew was exposed of his true nature and hunted down by ex-vampire minions, Nicholas Paige and Priscilla Drake from America, which climaxed to an inevitable confrontation.
