Throughout the history of Man, valiant warriors emerged to protect those who could not defend themselves. These warriors often changed history—for good or evil. Today, one child of the stars will find purpose. This is her story.

Larrna Somersby, seventeen going on eighteen, is different. Weird. Not normal. That’s how the popular students at Crestview High School see her. She can do things…strange and paranormal even. Things she can’t talk about. With spring break beginning in less than eight hours, she’s ready to relax, hang out with her two best friends, and prepare for life after graduation.
The school day starts when her brother claims men in black suits are coming for them. Then there’s the bullying head cheerleader giving her a bloody nose; major exams she needs to ace; and the star athlete, who’s crush-worthy, finally notices her. But nothing prepares her for what comes next.

Once awakened, Larrna’s control over the developing powers within will either destroy those she’s destined to protect, or herself.
Reluctantly, she accepts her fate.
