Standing Out

One year has passed since the events of 'Confessions of a Mad Man' and the world remains in a state of turmoil. 'Standing Out' follows the newest Crusader, Jade, on her first solo mission. Despite being the youngest and most inexperienced member of the team, she is determined to prove herself to her teammates. Gifted with the power to control emotions and fueled by her unusual past, Jade has to find the ability within herself to stand out. This is the second short fiction story in the ongoing series, The Crusaders: Justice Above All. The Crusaders are a team of super powered heroes fighting to protect the world from evil. The world populace at large fears and distrusts them and some claim that they are worse than the villains they dedicated their lives to stopping.
