Joe Romano is a small time Sydney crim. When the opportunity to rebirth a cargo full of stolen cars comes up, he jumps at the chance. However, what should have been a straightforward job soon goes horribly wrong. Before he knows what’s what he finds he has become implicated in the strange death of an MPs kleptomaniac daughter, he is being chased by the Lebanese mafia, and the ghost of his ex-wife is haunting him.
Running from trouble he finds himself thrown into a mysterious underground world where nothing is quite what it seems. Here, Joe is united with a long-forgotten ancestor who exposes him to the brutal truth of the world he has left behind.
