A story of an illiterate young man who lived in abject poverty until he befriends a German tourist in Jamaica. Delbert's German friend Hans, provides evidence to prove Delbert's innocence, and the book tells how Delbert and his friend sell their fortune in precious coins and jewels to Miss Bateman, and use their new wealth to help many Rastafarians who become their friends. The book tells how Delbert gets his unique revenge for the injustice by Miss Bateman, the ginnal woman, who tried to destroy him and his relationship with the young woman he loves.
