Seldom have two women had so little and everything in common.  One exudes the pedigree of high society while the other would rather party like a rock star, thank you very much.  The two meet at college in Montreal shortly after Astrid has been uprooted from her home in Australia, just as Dandy is setting her eyes on the horizon and wondering what life will have in store.  Both are drawn to professional musicians.

The men who love them have their own story to tell as they establish their dream band.  Kenny’s memoirs take us backstage and into the heart of the band’s public and private dramas: “There's only one person fully qualified to write a totally accurate, completely trashy kiss-and-tell book about this band, and the good news is that she wouldn't—thank God!”

As the band takes on a life of its own, however, Astrid and Dandy come to realize that they will lose themselves if they don't make major changes.  Like sisters, they goad, support, infuriate and inspire each other, wreaking mischief as they attempt to confront their fear of intimacy, overcome old hurts and become the people they want to be.

Adulthood is not for the faint-hearted.  Neither is mischief.
