Singing the Changes

Sixteen boys and one schoolmaster on tour as a choir come across an idyllic village stuck in some kind of 1930s time-warp, where all the men seem to be women dressed as men, who seem to be very much in charge of those actually dressed as women, who actually appear to be men! This being a Glynis Dunnitt story, as luck would have it the village school is in dire need of a music mistress and sixteen more girls, and never mind their current gender, (or indeed their wishes), the travelling choir soon fill that need!
