Silent Heroes of WW2 is the story of the 7th Infantry Division during WW2 as they fought the Japanese on Attu and Kiska in the Aleutian Islands, to Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands and later during the Battle of Leyte Gulf. It also includes the naval Battle of Surigao Straight and the heroic naval Battle off of Samar. The basis for this novel are the stories my father told me before he died. All of the battles really happened but some of the characters, and events, are fictional.
