“Sometimes our gut instincts are not just a feeling that something is not right. It can be an actually warning sign to beware of consequences that may follow a certain decision.”

Raised in a dysfunctional home lead Jean Stevens down a path of many mistakes. Her life as a child was filled with secrets, nightmares and fear. She never received the love and acceptance as a child she always craved. When she found love after she moved from Houston to Louisiana she had to leave it behind and move back to Houston. It was because of another dysfunctional situation she found herself in. Life in Houston for this small town minded girl was filled with one mistake and regret after another. She was too trusting of others. Without the proper guidance for her to mature into a well-rounded adult, her lack of maturity carried into her young adulthood. Jean learned many of life’s lessons through the mistakes she made. Not trusting her gut instincts was one of the things she struggled with through so much of her life. She finally broke away from the co-dependent relationships she always settled for. With God’s help Jean began to believe in herself and saw the positive changes in her life she always hoped for.
