Retired USAAF Lieutenant Colonel Bill Hunter is terminally ill. News of the discovery of his old plane, Hunter’s Eagle, ignites long extinguished memories in the ace pilot; recollections that bring him face to face with the pain and suffering of his early manhood; and the loss of his soul mate.  Elation and trepidation build when he discovers Anita still lives and the dive club, oblivious to the history between the pair, have organised a reunion.

Switching chapter by chapter from World War two to modern times we encounter the daily struggles of two different generations and see how their lives are inexorably linked.

The death of a diver, followed closely by the blowing up of the dive site and subsequent murder of another, is more than enough to convince those involved that this plane holds a deep dark mystery, a secret still very relevant, even after all these years.

Murder, intrigue, love and mystery combine to give a compelling account of human conflict
