Jenny set down her napkin and went to stand up. “I have dessert—éclairs from the coffee shop.”

Chico caught her wrist. “Maybe later.”

She sank back into her seat. “I can make some coffee.”

“Sure.” He rubbed his thumb over the sensitive skin between her thumb and index finger. “After.”

Her throat worked. “Oh.”

He came to his feet, drawing her up after him. Their bodies were a breath apart. He felt her heat like a hot lick down his abdomen and thighs.

“Is that a yes?”

Her eyes met his. She nodded mutely.

Thank all the gods.

He slid an arm around her shoulders. With his other hand, he gave her round ass a good squeeze. He’d had fantasies about that ass for a good month now.

She caressed his shoulders, giving his deltoids a squeeze of her own.

“I like the tat.” She traced a finger over the long-beaked dolphin twisting around his bicep. “It’s a dolphin, isn’t it?”

He nodded. “A river dolphin.”
