A Louisiana native, Elizabeth Leblanc's world was turned upside down when she met Belial, a demon from Hell, and Raguel, an angel from Heaven. Whatever hopes she had for a normal life are all but gone and to make matters worse, Lucifer invites her to a banquet normally reserved for demons. There she is introduced to more of Lucifer's men and is shocked to discover that there are several demons bidding for her hand in marriage.

After returning home from the banquet, Elizabeth is kidnapped by a strange woman. Bruised and battered, she is horrified when she learns that one of Lucifer's men sold her to Samuel. Still weak from their last encounter, Samuel informs her that she is in Heaven. Determined to get home, Elizabeth escapes from Samuel's dungeon and has to make her way through the Heavens in order to get home.

Reaching First Heaven, she is able to find Raguel who informs her that Lucifer is preparing to attack. Racing to the front lines she is able to stop the attack but has to sell her soul to do so. Finally home, she finds no peace. The cops are looking for her and a persistent detective is determined to pin a double homicide on her.

Unable to get help from the angels, she has to rely on the demons to help her out of this new predicament, but when the demons are fighting amongst themselves, how much help can they really be?
