When finding out Alex is dating her best friend Maria behind her back, Amelia realizes things between her and Alex are truly over. Amelia's life starts to look up when he boss, Mario shows interest in her. He is everything she wanted, successful, attractive, and looking for the same things in life she was. Everything is perfect for once until Mario. He was what she needed to get over Alex, to find out that life does go on after a broken heart. After losing Maria to a horrible car accident, Mario was what she needed to get through the tragedy. Mario's suspicions over Alex brings out his true colors and things take a turn for the worse. Amelia believes she is meant to suffer, to bare nothing but heart ache until Mike, Alex's best friend becomes her knight in shining armor.
