Where do we come from? Is there life after Death? If so, where? I think I figured it out. I will give you my version of the answers here in this book. In any event, you are the master of this life right here, right now. That’s all anyone knows for sure, this life on Earth in the physical realm. When I was a kid, they taught me to be a good, little Catholic boy. I was as brainwashed as anyone could be about religion but I gradually realized it was a crutch and a tool of oppression which doesn’t make it bad in and of itself. It just means that a lot of people use religion as a tool to control others through guilt, to gain trust, sexual favours, political power, etc. Aside from that, even if there is no God, religion serves a variety of pragmatic purposes. It gives us hope, comfort, inspiration and bonds us as communities and societies.
