When I set out to write this particular narrative, it was my intention to attempt to reveal the boredom, tedium, frustration, purposeless bullying, and total lack of privacy that was the Royal Navy in the 1970’s.
I failed. The story simply will not allow me to write it into the shape I wanted. Instead, it has turned out to be more of a comedy of errors, and a tale of lost love.
