When the author embarked on her extended vacation to Great Britain she promised to share her experiences with friends and family by posting photos online. I love this ebook. Filled with expressive stories of sites, people, culture, and history. I felt I was traveling with her. First hand observations and perspectives of many of the best sites to be seen around Scotland. Insightful entries, many related to culture and history. Liked the convenient hyperlinks to other related entries and literature. Extremely comprehensive advice - either for extended, slow travel, or quick trips.

The beauty of this book is the combination of lively prose and outstanding photographs that make personal the adventure of travel. I love the way you can navigate from the descriptive page to pertinent information, like a map. This book was a revelation of how to get the most out of travel. Faced with planning an extended time for travel, where would you start? I would buy Mrs. Rothstein’s book just for the Toolkits chapter. Buy the book and judge for yourself. It’s fantastic.
Beautiful Scotland
This little book brings me right back to Scotland. The author’s writing is wonderful. With few words she conveys the feeling of the land, climate, people and history of Scotland. Just what a travel guide should be with beautiful pictures and videos that make you smile. I thought I knew how to prepare for travel but after reading this gem of a book with the author’s guide for packing, preparing your home site and life on the road, I say she has combined Art with Science in 150 pages of fun. I was very impressed with this book. I learned a lot about Scotland, and the photos were beautiful. This book would be helpful to anyone traveling anywhere. I can't wait to read her next book.

A wonderful book with entertaining anecdotes and practical tips that even a well seasoned traveler could learn from. I thoroughly enjoyed "traveling" to Scotland with this book as my guide. The pictures are breathtakingly beautiful. I am now inspired to plan an extended trip of my own! 100% recommended reading!
