Saving Samuel: An Adventure Story

Saving Samuel takes place on the Cape Cod peninsula during the year 1894. It is an adventure story about a young boy, named Christopher, who tries to help his neighbor recover their kidnapped son by delivering the ransom money. When the ransom money isn’t enough, Christopher finds that he must not only save the kidnapped Samuel, but he must save himself as well. The two boys are forced to travel through the Falmouth Woods, a place that Christopher has spent a lot of time exploring and knows well. Headed with their captors to Port Dennis to be sold as runaways to a corrupt whale boat captain, the boys know they must find a means of escape before their fates are sealed. Just when they think they've accomplished this, the unexpected happens, and the situation turns into a dangerous standoff. A spiritual journey for both boys, Saving Samuel is a story about hope and relying on God during the most desperate times.
