Timothy Thorndike is an asshole (at least that's what the author thinks about him), he hates his life in South Dakota, his job and although he doesn't admit it he also hates his girlfriend. When he gets a chance to move to NYC and get a job at a bar, he doesn't think twice and enrolls himself in a journey where he will end up as the frontman of a rock band named "Spine". Does he like music? No. Does he know how to sing? No. Did he want to be a rockstar? No. But being this a good way to get "real money" and tons of chicks, what could possibly go wrong, right?
Dealing with an "independant" record label and its crazy owner "Rose Anne Stolen", the band will change its name and the way things used to be done, the only advantage they have? Emmett Cuevas and his "blue eyes". But as their fame grows their egos grow faster until they no longer know each other. Is "sex, drugs and rock & roll" an old clichê?
