It was too much for her to bear. They abandoned School and relocated from their Duplex to a Batcha inside the 82 Division Army Barracks. Six jobless Sisters living beggarly in the Barracks, at the mercy or unruly military recruits. Derby dared to succeed against all odds, as an apprentice seamstress who also sells roasted maize along the road at nights; she must surmount obstacles to carve a niche for herself in other to save her family from servitude.
