We have no choice what kind of family we are born into.

A young man was born into a very abusive family. A serious illness left the young man with a learning disability. After high fevers, he forgot how to read and was left with the inability to read and to sound out words. Any inabilities that the parents found out about ended with a beating, and he was told that he was not trying hard enough.

With the heavy workload that he had on the dairy and being tired all the time, learning was made harder. The young man felt like a real loser and was very careful to hide all of his disabilities by not talking. He always found a way to cheat to get by. He had a horrible fear of the dark that no one knew about.

He always felt so alone and had no real friends. His life seemed to be so empty, and he had little hope of success and no real plans for the future. He lived day to day in a dream world hoping his dreams would come true.

One night in a small home at a prayer meeting, his life was changed completely.
